Guess What...

Aaron and I started dating a couple of weeks before his 27th birthday. So when his birthday rolled around it was kind of an awkward situation for me. I contemplated such questions like, "Should I get him a gift?" "Is it too soon?" I finally decided to get him a gift, but to keep it simple. I found the perfect simple card to complete the gift. No pictures. Just this...

(Outside) Guess What? (Inside) Monkey Butt. Happy Birthday.

To this day every once in a while one of us will say Guess What? and then we will both start laughing. I'm not sure it is that funny, it is just one of those inside things that we find amusing.
So when I received these pants at one of my showers I immediately thought of that card and started laughing.

Guess What... Monkey Butt!

I would also like to point out here how Ethan just adores Aaron. Sure I get Ethan to smile all day, but the smiles he gives me are nothing in comparison to what Aaron receives. Sometimes I get jealous, but most of the time I just love how Ethan loves his dad.

So in conclusion, I love my boys and monkey butts!

My Obsession!

I love Ethan. I love that he is a boy. I love all that, that entails except one thing. The clothes! Boy clothes are no fun to shop for. I walk into a store and I automatically gravitate towards the girl section. I ooh and awe over the adorable girl clothes. Then I come back to reality and realize that Ethan probably wouldn't look good in a pink dress.

But I have finally found the perfect place to shop for Ethan. I was turned on to this during some of my baby showers. I kept getting all of these adorable Polo rompers. I noticed that some were purchased from TJ Maxx. I went to the store to check it out and man I hit the mother load! I received quite a few Polo's for gifts so I actually haven't bought too many myself, but now I know where to go if I do need to!

So Ethan if you ever wonder what you wore as a baby, well you wore...

And can you believe that I have even more that I haven't photographed! Yikes! I think this child has more clothes than I do. So if it is polo size 6-9 months, I own it. (And yea I said 9 months. Apparently I have the longest baby on the planet. So all of his clothes are big, but he needs the length.)

Three Months

*This whole picture taking isn't working out how I planned. I can't seem to take all of the pictures at the same angle which I think is throwing off the size of the cat. Also, I probably should have put Ethan in a similar outfit each month. Oh well, at least I will know for next time.

Ethan is now 3 months old. I feel like he has been in our lives forever, but it has only been 3 months. And 3 months is not even close to forever.

Well as you can probably tell from the picture this month, Ethan grew! But I guess that is what babies do. He gained 3 lbs and grew an inch. I also did a head measurement because I swear when I woke up Monday morning and Ethan's head had doubled in size. Up until now our child has not had an ounce of fat on his body, but now he is finally getting some chubby arms. I love it!

Weight- 13 lbs 6 oz
Height- 25 in
Head- 16 1/2 in

Some new things about him...

  • Ethan now has a little laugh. He can't keep it going for very long, but we get a few giggles every once in a while. It's adorable.
  • He tries so hard to sit up. He can't just lie down anymore. He is always lifting his head in an attempt to sit up. But he still has a ways to go. Although when he sits in his bumbo even though he flops over and looks terribly uncomfortable he just laughs. He thinks it is so fun.
  • He is "talking" a lot more.
  • And lucky for us, he still rarely cries, only when he is tired or after he is finished eating. He always wants more!
  • He has discovered his hands. He is always sucking on them!

As much as I miss my little baby, I am loving even more watching Ethan grow and get more of a personality everyday.
