Guess What...

Aaron and I started dating a couple of weeks before his 27th birthday. So when his birthday rolled around it was kind of an awkward situation for me. I contemplated such questions like, "Should I get him a gift?" "Is it too soon?" I finally decided to get him a gift, but to keep it simple. I found the perfect simple card to complete the gift. No pictures. Just this...

(Outside) Guess What? (Inside) Monkey Butt. Happy Birthday.

To this day every once in a while one of us will say Guess What? and then we will both start laughing. I'm not sure it is that funny, it is just one of those inside things that we find amusing.
So when I received these pants at one of my showers I immediately thought of that card and started laughing.

Guess What... Monkey Butt!

I would also like to point out here how Ethan just adores Aaron. Sure I get Ethan to smile all day, but the smiles he gives me are nothing in comparison to what Aaron receives. Sometimes I get jealous, but most of the time I just love how Ethan loves his dad.

So in conclusion, I love my boys and monkey butts!

Favorite

Dear Ethan,

Today was day one of just you and me. You were super fussy all day. Then Dad came home... Guess who was no longer fussy? I can't believe you already have a favorite. I don't blame you. He is my favorite too.

Love Mom

P.S. Let's shoot for a less fussy day two!

I Heart My Boys

Ready for Opening Day!

This is Aaron's favorite Ethan outfit. And the baseball was the first thing that Aaron purchased for Ethan. He wants our boy to be a professional baseball player. While I was pregnant Aaron would encourage me to think left. Apparently left handed pitchers make loads of money. Aaron would also tell me that once Ethan was born that he was going to tie our sons right hand behind his back so his left hand would become the strongest. Don't worry he was only joking, at least I hope.
